Product Marketing Director

DaySmart Software seeks a dynamic Product Marketing Director to drive and own go-to-market strategies for new business areas we will enter throughout 2018. The Product Marketing Director will assess market opportunities, evaluate likely penetration (and revenue potential) and establish strategies to maximize growth through marketplace research, customer needs assessment and competitive analysis to play a pivotal role in defining go-to-market strategies which embrace our portfolio plans and support the product roadmap.

A successful candidate will possess an analytical mind and a knack for identifying business opportunities and track records of launching software products into new or adjacent markets. This person will execute strategic marketing tactics and strategies to ensure successful product launches and an optimal customer.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Align marketing and GTM strategies with audience needs and revenue targets
  • Develop and maintain DaySmart’s market and sector landscape
  • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes
  • Assess market competition by comparing our products (Salon Iris, 123 Pet, Orchid and InkBook) to competitors' offerings
  • Provide short-term and long-term go-to-market strategies and special reports and analyses; responding to requests from senior management or Board of Directors
  • Introduce new products by analyzing requirements and product development plans; preparing return-on-investment analysis and developing integrated plans with Sales, and Product Management
  • Determine value-based pricing by employing market research; prospect interviews and fixed delivery costs.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years breaking down market opportunities, launching software products and managing go-to-market plans leveraging customer & market insights
  • Highly organized with a systematic mindset and approach to getting questions answered, conclusions drawn and projects completed
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fanatical attention to detail and quality
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally effectively in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
